Ogof Adullam – What is that?

Ogof Adullam – What is that? Well it’s the name of a new Drop-In Centre project that Huw Davies and circuit officers are setting up at our Brunswick Church on St Helen’s Road, Swansea.  The centre will open three evenings a week (Mon, Wed, Sat – 5.00p.m to 9.00p.m) offering a  ‘place of refuge’ to individuals experiencing homelessness and alcohol and drug addiction as well as providing a point of contact for prison leavers and asylum seekers. It is intended as a safe place free of outside external interferences where these individuals can develop safe, secure and loving relationships in a Christian environment. As Christians we aim to show the love of Jesus and to help and empower these individuals to turn their lives around and to become all God intended them to be.

Garth Hewitt Concert 27th June

Following his successful concert last year at Sketty, I am delighted that Garth Hewitt is including us again in his UK tour. Garth is the founder member of the Amos Trust: a Christian charity that campaigns for justice for  oppressed peoples all over the world, including the Palestinians, the Dalits, and the downtrodden of Nicaragua . The Amos Trust has also been actively supporting the Street Child World Cup, recently held in Rio, and in bringing the ex-street children surfers to Swansea last year, whom many of us met.
Garth will be performing at Sketty Methodist Church on Friday June 27th at 7.30pm. The ticket prices are the same as last year: £7 for adults and £3 for children: a bargain!  They can be bought in advance from me or at the door.
