It’s a very busy day in our circuit this coming Sunday. Horton Methodist Church celebrates its 200th Anniversary and our Sketty church sees the coming together of the Methodist and Bethel URC congregations who will worship together on a permanent basis.

In the afternoon our Circuit Mission Day gets underway. This year the Circuit Project is WATER AID

We are all invited to gather at our Sketty church – Dillwyn Road, Sketty, Swansea, SA2 9AE

3.30p.m – Presentation on the work of Water Aid by Mr David Padfield

4.30p.m – A Faith Tea ( please bring an item of food with you)

6.00p.m – Annual Circuit Mission Service –  preacher Rev Dr Stephen Wigley, Chair of Wales Synod. Worship will be led by Circuit staff

Why we are supporting Water Aid ?

Around 700,000 children die every year from diarrhoea caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation – that’s almost 2,000 children a day.  (Child Health Epidemiology Reference Group, 2012 and Unicef Child Mortality Report, 2012)

The average person in the UK uses 150 litres of water a day. In Australia it’s around 500 litres and in the USA, over 570 litres.
