Ogof Adullam – What is that?
Ogof Adullam is the name of a Drop-In Centre project based at Penlan Methodist Church, Heol Gwyrosydd, Penlan, Swansea.
The centre is open three days a week (Mon, Wed, Fri – 10.00 a.m to 2.00p.m) offering a ‘place of refuge’ to individuals experiencing homelessness and alcohol and drug addiction as well as providing a point of contact for prison leavers and asylum seekers.
JOB OPPORTUNITY
Project Assistant – Ogof Adullam Project –
Swansea and Gower Circuit of the Methodist Church
15 hours p.w. (Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.) @ £10.90 p.h. increasing to £12 p.h. from 1st May, 2024 Three year contract.
Based at Penlan Methodist Church.
You will need to be able to be able to manage the kitchen; arrange and prepare a warm nutritious meal for around 35 people usually with the assistance of one other, who will work under your supervision. You will need to be able to work and communicate well with others, work on your own initiative, have a real sympathy for the nature of the work going on within the Ogof Adullam project and be able to work effectively and provide encouragement.

“Come & See” – 21st January 2024
Then every Sunday 2 – 4pm.
-> explore the basics of the Christian faith in small groups
-> open, friendly environment
-> watch a short film & think about a different question of faith each week
-> a chance to share your thoughts and hear what others think
-> say anything you like…or nothing at all.
